In this challenge, the ghosts want to be the ones chasing, so you are on the run, unlike the previous challenge.

Important Points to Note for This Challenge:

  • Difficulty Level: Amateur
  • Grace Period: 1 minute
  • Starting Sanity: 0% (High likelihood of hunts immediately after the grace period)
  • Simultaneously Identify Ghost and Deal with Hunts

Please keep these three points in mind as they are crucial for this challenge.

However, since the difficulty is set to Amateur, the challenge itself may not be too difficult.

Let's now move on to the detailed walkthrough.

Step 1: Preparations

First, let's talk about preparations.

Utilize the one-minute grace period at the beginning to do what you can.

Since there is limited time, focus on the minimum necessary preparations.

Bring the Video Camera, Ghost Writing Book, and Crucifix to the central area of the map.

Placing them there allows you to quickly grab them once you identify the ghost room.

If you have time during the grace period, you can also turn on the breaker.

Remember, you only have one minute, so do what you can safely within that time.

One important thing to note is to always close doors if you open them.

This is essential for identifying the ghost room later, so make sure to follow this rule.

After the one-minute grace period, return to the truck and transport the evidence-gathering items to the entrance.

Once you've done this, preparations are complete!

Step 2: Identifying the Ghost Room

As soon as preparations are complete, start identifying the ghost room.

Normally, you would explore the rooms with a thermometer in hand, but in this challenge, there's no time for that.

So, why not provoke a hunt?

Hold the Smudge Stick, Lighter, and Thermometer, and wait at the entrance for a hunt to occur.

Since it's on Amateur difficulty, hunts only last 20 seconds, and if you manage to use the Smudge Stick, you'll almost certainly escape.

Alternatively, you can run around the sofa at the entrance or the counter in the kitchen as they are safe spots during chases.

Once the hunt ends, proceed to identify the ghost room.

On Amateur difficulty, all doors inside the map start closed.

When a hunt occurs, the ghost will most likely initiate it from the ghost room, and the door will be open.

So, after a hunt ends, check each door and, for safety, check the temperature of any open door, as it might lead to the ghost room.

With this, identifying the ghost room is done.

Step 3: Identifying the Ghost

Now, all that's left is identifying the ghost.

Bring the ghost identification items to the ghost room and work on identifying it.

The most crucial item to bring is the Crucifix, as there's a constant possibility of hunts.

Bringing the Crucifix is a top priority, as it gives you time to gather evidence while protecting yourself.

Also, bring the Smudge Stick for self-defense during this phase.

With a bit more breathing room at this point, proceed with identifying the ghost.

Conclusion

There you have it, the walkthrough for Phasmophobia Challenge Mode "Hide and Seek: Hide."

It's interesting how it complements last week's challenge.

I understand that starting with 0% sanity can be nerve-wracking, but if you stick to the plan and bring items accordingly, it won't be too difficult.

Let's aim to clear this week's challenge too!

That's all for now, this is Shiraki signing off.

Goodbye!
